When you help a stray cow on Farmville, does it appear in your farm?

I have helped 2, but I wondered if they are supposed to appear on his farm, or not? Or am I doing something wrong? Farmville, ie on Facebook.

The cow doesn’t appear in your farm. Instead, what you did was to put it up for adoption by friends who play Farmville. It’s like a kind of free gift for your friends.
