Open Question: Why is my internet fast with everything but games?

I have been making some little tweaks from http://helpdeskgeek.com/windows-xp-tips/99-ways-to-make-your-computer-blazingly-fast/. My mozilla firefox loads up in about 5 seconds and pages load instantly, but whenever i have gone to play a game for example facebook’s fishville, sherwood dungeon and bloons tower defense they run slow and mozilla stops responding. Why is this?
